Student Senate Elections

Every spring semester, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire holds elections for Student Senate's President, Vice President, On-Campus Student Senator, and Off-Campus Student Senator roles for the upcoming academic year.

Candidates are allowed two weeks to campaign before voting commences. Once voting has commenced, it is up to the students to elect 12 On-Campus Senators, 18 Off-Campus Senators, and their President and Vice President.

No experience in student government is required to run for office! In order to be a candidate in the Student Senate elections, you must be a current student at UW-Eau Claire, maintain at least a half-time status, and have a 2.0 GPA.

Students wishing to campaign for a position during an election are required to follow strict procedures imposed by the Senate Bylaws.
