Our Mission

The Finance Commission aims to oversee the allocation and usage of student fees with transparency and purpose. This commission manages and provides oversight for the allocation of over $10 million in segregated fees, which are the fees paid by students that go back to students. We also offer feedback and funding decisions that support student activities, events, and organizations, ensuring that student dollars are used effectively and responsibly.

Our Meetings

This fall, the Finance Commission is meeting weekly in Davies Center in Council Oak Conference Room (260) on Thursdays at 5:00 PM.

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to come to any of our meetings and share any ideas, comments, or questions they may have! You do not need to be a member of Student Senate or interested in joining Student Senate to be a part of one of our commissions. In fact, we prefer a range of opinions and points of view across our commission members!

If you can't make it to our meeting time but are interested in joining our commission and/or getting in contact with us, we encourage you to send us an email at stusen53@uwec.edu or come talk to someone in the Student Senate office, which is located in Davies 220.
