Equity in Student Matters

Our Mission

The Equity in Student Matters commission was created as a resource and access point for the students of marginalized identities on this campus. We are responsible for promoting change within the UW-Eau Claire institution to ensure equity of outcome for its students. Together, we will work within the University to ensure that the students of marginalized identities on this campus receive the appropriate resources and support to help them succeed while they are here and set them up for success for after they graduate.

Our Meetings

This fall, the Equity in Student Matters Commission is meeting weekly in Council Oak Conference Room (260) on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM.

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to come to any of our meetings and share any ideas, comments, or questions they may have! You do not need to be a member of Student Senate or interested in joining Student Senate to be a part of one of our commissions. In fact, we prefer a range of opinions and points of view across our commission members!

If you can't make it to our meeting time but are interested in joining our commission and/or getting in contact with us, we encourage you to send us an email at esm@uwec.edu or come talk to someone in the Student Senate office, which is located in Davies 220.
