Homecoming Spirit Competition Information

The heart of Homecoming lies between school-pride and friendly competition. So why leave the competition only to Blugold Athletes! The Spirit Competition is open to all registered student organizations and campus groups (i.e., hall councils, club sports, affiliated organizations).

Below we have the Attendance Competition rules, Royalty Candidate rules, and Homecoming Prize information! Reach out to uac@uwec.edu with questions.

  • Overall Homecoming Attendance Competition

    • Participating registered student organizations and campus groups will check in with an event facilitator, and the number of attendees within that group will be counted. 1 point for each organization or group representative.
    • An individual’s participation can only go towards ONE student organization or group.
    • Participating groups or organizations’ attendance will be counted at the events listed below throughout the week. The organization or group with the highest attendance will be the winning Organization.

    Events for Participation Points include:

    • Blu's Bingo
    • Campus Games
    • Friday event
    • Parade
  • Royalty Competition

Candidates must be sponsored by an organization or group and must be willing to assume campaign responsibilities. Those responsibilities include following campaign rules, timeframe, and being present for the Friday event and Parade.

    • Candidates must be UWEC students.
    • No cross campaigning is allowed. Candidates may only represent one registered student organization or campus group.
    • Candidates for royalty will run as individuals and will be voted as individuals who represent their sponsoring organization or group.
    • Candidates must submit a Royalty Candidate form on Blugold Connect+ prior to the deadline.
