Main textbooks for each course are usually available for rental, but some courses have textbooks and other course materials that need to be purchased. If you are renting your textbooks, you may only check out one copy of each book and you may only check out books for courses you are currently enrolled in. Note: Your Blugold Mobile ID will be required for all rental transactions.

The textbook rental office is typically open extended hours through the first week of classes. Please visit the Bookstore's main website for the most up-to-date information regarding open hours, or give their office a call.

Rental materials are due on the last day of your final exams, but to help you avoid lines they can be brought back one at a time. If you drop a class, rented materials are due immediately so another student can use them. Your Blugold ID is not required for return; a friend can return on your behalf as long as they have the books scanned at the registers.

If you are not able to return your books in person, they can be shipped back at your expense (online only students receive free shipping). If you are shipping your textbooks back to us, be sure to plan for enough time for them to arrive back at the bookstore. Late fees accrue until the package arrives in the Bookstore. Late fees are assessed at $2.00 per book, per day they are late.

It is recommended that you do not use US Postal Service to ship your textbooks back, as there will be additional routing time from when tracking information says "delivered" to when the package arrives in the Bookstore.

All students who have at least one class on campus must come to the Bookstore to pick up their textbooks in person.

Textbooks will only be shipped for students that take all online courses, or students who enroll through Barron County or the Marshfield Nursing site. If you are eligible for shipping, your Blugold ID number must be included in the "Special Instructions" box or the order will be cancelled.
