What is the Blugold ID
The Mobile Blugold ID Card is the official photo identification card of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Your Blugold Mobile ID will provide access to many facilities and services offered while you're on campus, including: textbook rental, library services, meal plans, recreational activities, use of vending and laundry machines, door access at residence halls and select academic buildings, and free use of the Eau Claire Transit System.
You may not use your ID card as much if joining us virtually, but you will still need to download it to your phone and have it handy for certain transactions.
Setting Up Your Mobile ID
To set up your Blugold Mobile ID, you must 1) download the Transact eAccounts app, 2) authenticate with your university credentials and then 3) add your Blugold card to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet.
Photo Submissions
Students are required to select and upload their own photo and copy of drivers license or government issued ID for their Blugold Mobile ID. Simply upload your photo and a picture of your government-issued ID to move forward with this option. Be sure to submit a current photo of yourself taken in accordance with the U.S Department of State Passport Standards
More information on how to submit your photo and making sure it's able to be approved can be found on our website: https://www.uwec.edu/blugold-card/online-photo-submission/
