I am Samara Gries. I am a fourth-year student majoring in Hydrogeology with a Chemistry minor and a Geospatial certificate. I enjoy baking, reading, and being outdoors with my dog in my free time. I have enjoyed being more involved in the behind the scenes of the Honors Collage through HSC. I have met a large number of my friends through HSC. It is a welcoming environment for new members.

Hi there! I am Zoe Eineichner, and I am a third-year student double majoring in Psychology and Organizational Communications with a certificate in Analytical Reasoning. When not participating in research on campus or giving tours as a campus tour guide, you can find me singing, making crafts, and traveling to new places! HSC was the first club I joined; it is so welcoming, and it allows everyone to make connections while growing leadership skills. I am thrilled to be a part of this team, and I look forward to all of our future endeavors!

I am Megan Eilers. I am from the Quad Cities, located in both Iowa and Illinois on the Mississippi River. I am a fourth-year student majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I joined HSC because I have enjoyed being in the Honors Program and I wanted a more hands-on experience. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, skiing, and hanging out with my dog.

Hey! I am a junior studying mathematics with a minor in psychology. I have been a part of HSC since the beginning of my freshman year. I am grateful for the opportunities HSC has given me, such as speaking at Honors graduation, and the friendships I have made along the way. On campus, I am also the president of Math Club and work as a tutor in the MTH lab. In my free time, I enjoy embroidery, reading books, and going for walks.

Hello! My name is Olivia Heesch and I am a third year student. I am a Business Administration Major with a double minor is Finance and Accounting, with a certificate in Leadership Studies. I joined HSC second semester of my first year because I was looking to get more involved on campus, and I also wanted to become more involved in the Honors program. Being involved in HSC I have learned leadership skills and have also created many new connections.

Hello! I am going into my second year at UWEC, and I am currently undecided. I joined HSC my first semester because it seemed like a fun club full of really cool people, which it is! I’ve already gained many friendships from HSC and I’m looking forward to making more in the coming semesters. I am an avid music listener and in my limited free time, I enjoy playing games and reading books.

Hi. I'm Ray Nelson, and I'm a fourth-year Accounting and Finance double-major. I'm also a big fan of all things raccoons, frogs, and Pop-Tarts. I originally joined HSC because I liked planning events, and it sounded like the closest thing to my high school's student council. It turned out to be so much more than that. I've met some of my greatest friends and have been able to fulfill many leadership roles both on campus and within our community because of this student org. This club has helped me build skills and meet people that will prove to be useful for years to come.

Dr. Fielding is originally from New Mexico but has been at UWEC for five years. In addition to serving as our Honors College Director and HSC advisor, Dr. Fielding is an Associate Professor of English! Dr. F. earned a PhD in English from Brown and was a Fulbright scholar in Ukraine. Her favorite part about Honors? The students!
