The Communication Commission serves not only as a vital communication link between the Student Senate and the broader student body at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, but also as a hub of engagement and fun. Our mission extends beyond promoting transparency and dialogue; we are committed to enhancing the vibrancy of our campus community and enriching the student experience.

While our primary role involves amplifying the diverse initiatives and programs of the Student Senate to our campus community, we also take pride in organizing lively events that bring students together. We believe in the power of camaraderie and shared experiences, and our events are designed to add a dash of enjoyment to the academic journey.

From the design and distribution of promotional materials to fostering active engagement with both on-campus and off-campus media entities, we maintain a professional, yet approachable, public face for the Student Senate.

In addition to our regular duties, the Communication Commission plays a key role in promoting the Student Senate's annual elections, encouraging active student participation in our democratic process. All the while, we strive to embody the balance of being informed, involved, and importantly, fun-loving college students. We are not just about governance, but about celebrating the spirit of our university community.

Mission
A commission of students, dedicated to allocating Student Segregated Fees to best support the student body.

The Student Senate Finance Commission is the Student University Funds Allocation Committee (SUFAC) for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Responsible for allocating student dollars, collected from the student body as segregated fees to Organized Activities. As members, students discuss and vote on how they believe these segregated fees should be allocated.

Mission
The Student Office of Sustainability (SOS) is one of nine commissions within our Student Senate. Our general assembly meets on a weekly basis to discuss the allocation of "The Green Fund" — a budget of roughly $185,000 in student segregated fees. These funds are allocated to foster sustainability in our campus community through innovation, education, and foundational improvements. Campus community members are invited to submit proposals for consideration by the body to request funding for initiatives that benefit our students in a "big picture" sense through sustainability.

Mission
The Artists Series presents excellence in the performing arts, which uplifts the spirit and enlivens the mind. The series presents quality regional, national and international artists, encompassing ballet, modern dance, theatre, world music, jazz, orchestral and chamber music, and intimate recitals. Through the performing arts, the Artists Series seeks to develop aesthetic awareness, promote interdisciplinary appreciation, and cultivate multicultural experience.

The Artists Series was created in 1965, when the university's series of convocation programs merged with the Eau Claire Civic Music Association, a community project that began a subscription concert series in 1940. The program is made possible by student fees allocated by the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate. Each year's series is selected by an administrative committee composed of students, faculty-staff and community members.
