Speaker: August Viegut

Curious about the different paths you can take with a psychology degree? Join us as we welcome August Viegut, a mental health professional with a unique and inspiring career journey. After earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UW-La Crosse, August gained real-world experience working with AmeriCorps, a crisis phone line, and other roles before pursuing his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UW-Stout.

Since then, he has worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor, led intensive outpatient depression recovery groups, and most recently transitioned into general outpatient mental health counseling. His diverse experiences offer valuable insights into different career paths in mental health, making this a great opportunity for students considering counseling, psychology, or related fields.
