The Black Student Union is an organization that was started in 2024. The organization is a result of the merging of the African Student Association and Black Student Alliance.
The Black Student Union aims to support and uplift all Black identities through programs and initiatives that promote unity, leadership, and academic excellence. As the voice of the Black community here on campus, BSU engages in collective advocacy, community building, and results drives driven action to redefine the Black experience at UWEC. Membership into The BSU is OPEN to ALL students
REGARDLESS of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, or religion.

At JCS, we have a passion for Japanese culture and language! Whether you're someone that's travelled to Japan dozens of times and studied the language for years or someone who knows nothing, you are wanted at JCS. All you need is a curiosity about other cultures and the desire to meet with like-minded peers!

Membership Benefits
Throughout the year we will:
* Meet weekly for casual activities and lessons about Japanese language and culture
* Host fun events for members and nonmembers (some examples: karaoke, calligraphy, anime/movie screenings)
* Participate in campus events like Cultural Fest
* Host fundraisers that grant us the funds to make our club even better!

We invite anyone to join our weekly meetings regardless of official membership status! By being a member, though, you can:
* Help host, plan, and work the events mentioned above
* Have the opportunity to learn from and receive casual tutoring from those in the Japanese language department
* Have easy access to upcoming JCS events and information, and be on our mailing list
