ANNUAL STUDENT ORGANIZATION
RE-REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 

All currently registered UWEC student organizations must complete the four Annual Re-Registration Requirements listed below by October 15th to remain officially registered and in good standing with the University.

Step 1:
Update Blugold Connect+ Group Portal

This step must be completed before submitting your Annual Re-Registration Request Form (Step 3).

Update your organization’s information within your Blugold Connect+ group portal, including:

• Officer Roster & Advisors
• Membership Roster

Important: Your updated officer roster information must be uploaded within your Annual Re-Registration Request Form.

Take a few minutes to review the online “Group Officers: Getting Started” information. This information will help you to ensure that your organization’s page is accurate and inviting. This is often the first place prospective members go to learn about your organization.

Step 2:
Attend the Student Organization Leaders “Nuts & Bolts” Training

All student organization Presidents AND Treasurers are required to attend this training & must register individually (you may only represent ONE student organization.)

Training Date: Thursday, Sept. 17th
Check-in: 3:15pm-3:50pm

Training time & free dinner: 4:00pm-8:30pm
Check-out: 8:30pm
Location: Ojibwe Ballroom, 3rd floor Davies Center

NOTE: Students who arrive after 4:30 p.m. and/or leave before the training ends will not receive credit. If the President or Treasurer cannot attend the entire training, a Vice President or Co-President may attend as a substitute officer on behalf of the student organization. The substitute must be present for the entire training.

Step 3:
Submit the Annual Re-Registration Request & Constitution Form

Submit your organization’s “Group Re-Registration" form via Blugold Connect+.

Note: Only currently enrolled UWEC students may submit this form. Advisors may not submit the re-registration form on behalf of the student organization.

• Choose your "Group" from the group list
• Click on the blue "+ Group Re-registration" button to complete your information (be sure to hit "Submit.") (Note: the blue "+ Group Re-registration" button will not appear until Sept. 1st.)
• Advisors will receive an email from mail@campusgroups.uwec.edu upon your submission asking them to approve their role as your student organizations' advisor.

Important Reminder: Only currently enrolled UW–Eau Claire students may be members of UWEC student organizations. CVTC students and individuals who are not currently enrolled at UWEC are not eligible for membership.

Step 4: (new this year)

Complete the Student Organization Leader & Advisor Expectations Worksheet

The Student Organization Leader and Advisor Expectations Worksheet must be completed by both the organization president and the primary faculty/staff advisor.

1. The president and primary advisor should each complete their respective sections of the worksheet independently.
2. After both sections are completed, meet to review your responses.
3. Complete the Consensus column together.
4. Both the president and primary advisor must sign and date the worksheet.
5. Print and submit the completed worksheet to the Student Involvement Center Front Desk (220 Davies Center) no later than October 15. (Note: All worksheets will be validated upon submission.)

Some student organization categories may have additional requirements to maintain full compliance. Please review any requirements that apply to your organization.

Student Organization Leaders "Nuts & Bolts" Training

To fulfill the Annual Student Organization Re-registration requirements and ensure the success of your student organization this upcoming year, all student organization Presidents AND Treasurers must attend the "Student Organization Leaders Nuts & Bolts Training" on Sept. 17th.

Check-in time: 3:10pm - 3:50pm
Training time: 4:00pm-8:30pm
(A free pasta dinner will be provided.)

Topics included (but not limited to):

• Org Annual Re-Registration & Blugold Connect+ Review
• Event planning (making reservations etc.)
• Treasurers Training - Funding opportunities and Fundraising
• Student Org Conduct & Risk Management
• Student Org Resources, and more!

Whether you need a space to meet with your group, create promotional materials in the Student Organizations Makerspace, reserve a locker, access Blugold Connect+ support, or check your organization’s mail, this is the place to be.

The center is open during Davies Center hours, with front desk assistance available:

• Monday–Thursday: 9 AM–6 PM
• Friday: 9 AM–4 PM

The Student Organization Makerspace is available for use during these same hours except for Fridays. Stop by and make the most of your involvement on campus!

DID YOU KNOW?

You can store all of your important student organization documents directly in your BC+ group portal using the “Files” feature.

By saving documents in BC+, you can avoid common transition issues with passwords, access permissions, or lost files that often come with platforms like OneDrive, Google Docs, SharePoint, or even physical binders.

Uploading key materials—such as officer transition documents, officer roles and responsibilities, current and past constitutions and bylaws, photos and videos, funding allocations, and organization budgets—helps ensure that both current and future members of your student organization always have access to this important information!
