Blugold Makerspace: Electronics for Makers

Blugold Makerspace Workshop: Recycled Cardboard Painting

Stop into the Makerspace and pick out a fun cardboard project to paint!
Using the magic of lasers, and some free online templates, we have prepared a series of 3-4-inch-tall pocket monsters and 10-inch-tall art boards out of recycled cardboard. Swing in, pick out your favorite from the available selection, and get creative on how to decorate them.

Take a break from studying and join UWEC faculty and staff - and their dogs - on the campus mall from 11:00am -1:00pm on Friday, September 13. Students who check in at the event (look for the QR codes!) will be entered into a drawing for a scholarship!

UAC is hiring!

We are looking to hire 2 chairs. We will be accepting applications until Friday, Sept. 20 at noon. Electric scooters, operated independently by the company Bird, are now available to use in the City of Eau Claire. Students who choose to utilize these scooters, which may be rented through the Bird app, should review the safety and how-to sections of Bird’s website and the city’s eScooter resource page. Bird scooters may only be parked in the locations identified by the app; users will be charged by Bird until they successfully park in a designated parking location and end their ride. There are approved parking locations around the perimeter of the campus in existing bicycle parking areas. Bird scooters will not be able to operate on the lower campus mall, the footbridge, or the hill.

Since September of 2014, Campus Harvest food pantry aids students that self-identify as in need of supplemental food assistance. In a spring 2024 survey, 47% of UWEC students indicated some level of food insecurity.

We offer non-perishable and perishable food items (including frozen meats & fresh produce), period products, hygiene items, and miscellaneous cooking supplies. 

Students are able to utilize the pantry once per week.
