Get Ready for UWEC Homecoming 2025!

Hello Blugolds!

This year is UW-Eau Claire's 100th Homecoming, and we can't wait for you to be part of it. These events are free, great ways to make lasting memories, get free UWEC swag, and you can win money for your student organization! 

Homecoming Week will be September 28 - October 5! The Football Game will be against UW-Stout, so the Spirit Competition theme will be When In Doubt, Defeat Stout! We highly recommend checking out the Athletics schedule for ALL the Homecoming week games so you an cheer on your fellow Blugolds!

Event Information & Spirit Competition

Homecoming events are open to all students, but participation in the Spirit Competition is limited to student organizations, groups, and clubs. Student groups that participate in each event can earn Spirit Points. The top three groups in the Spirit Point ranking will win prize money for their group! We will be hosting an in-person Homecoming Q+A on Sept. 23 for students to learn more and ask questions.

Parade - This will be the first time in over a decade the Homecoming Parade will be on Water Street! It is not too late to sign up to march in the parade. Parade units with the best decorations and adhere to the theme will also win prize money! Sign-up here to participate. The Homecoming Parade will be on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 10:00am. 

Pennant and Parade Float Prep on Sunday, Sept. 28. We will have a limited number of supplies to assist students building/creating their parade float decorations!  Sign up here!

Royalty Candidates - Running a Royalty Candidate is the classic and most iconic aspect of Homecoming! It also awards the most Spirit Points! Candidates cannot run as individuals.They must be representing one organization, residence hall, or group. Please reach out if you would like clarification on this. All candidates get to ride in a truck for the Homecoming Parade. Sign up here!

Varsity Night Live (VNL) - This event is co-sponsored by UAC and The Singing Statesmen and will be on Thursday, October 2nd from 7:00-8:30pm in Schofield Auditorium. VNL is a variety show of student acts ranging from musical performances, lip syncs, and other talents! This is also the event Royalty Candidates will be announced and crowned.

Campus Games - After a brief hiatus, Campus Games are BACK and will be held on Towers Field on Friday, Oct. 3rd! Games include tug of war, scooter races, and more! All students who attend will receive a special giveaway! Groups participating in the Spirit Competition are eligible to win Spirit Points. Sign up here!

Adopt-a-Block - Need service hours? This is a community cleanup event on Sunday, Oct. 5 from 1-3pm. Students will clean up sections of Randall Park Neighborhood and along the parade route as a 'thank you' for the continued support of our community and downtown businesses. Groups will also be awarded Spirit Points for participating and picking up the most trash/recycling! Sign up here!
