This engaging discussion brings together three distinctive voices. Jeffrey Rosen, CEO emeritus of the National Constitution Center and professor of law at The George Washington University, is one of the nation’s leading interpreters of constitutional thought and the intellectual world of the Founding era. Lauren Coyle Rosen, an award-winning author, artist, and cultural anthropologist, offers a rich, interdisciplinary perspective on spirituality, culture, and human meaning. Adam Kunz, assistant professor at UW–Eau Claire, brings his expertise on religious freedom, tolerance, and the boundaries of belief in modern society.
Together, they will examine how ideas of religion have shaped American constitutional principles—and how those ideas continue to evolve today.
Free and open to the public.

Assistant Professor
UW-Eau Claire
Adam Kunz joined our department in Fall 2021. His scholarly interests are in contemporary political theory, existential threats to human flourishing, the limits of freedom of religion, and jurisprudence. He teaches courses on constitutional law, contemporary political theory, and the history of liberalism. A theme of his courses is translating rigorous theoretical knowledge into practices that build solidarity among citizens, temper individualism, and promote a more egalitarian society.
