Freedom of Expression Workshop

UW Student Campus Free Speech & Academic Freedom Workshop

Join students from across the Universities of Wisconsin for a one-day workshop exploring free speech and academic freedom on college campuses. Through expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and real-world campus scenarios, participants will examine First Amendment protections, academic freedom, campus speech policies, and how to navigate challenging questions about expression at public universities.

Participation is free and limited to 30 full-time UW students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and a participant stipend is available for program completion.

Interested students must apply through Eventbrite. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance; selected students will receive a separate confirmation.

Come ready to read, think, discuss, question, and connect with students from across Wisconsin.
