Join us for a screening of "Mighty Ira" profiling the remarkable life and career of Ira Glasser, executive director of the ACLU from 1978 to 2001. The film explores Glasser’s lifelong advocacy for free speech and racial justice, his defense of the rights of neo-Nazis to rally in Skokie, Illinois, his unlikely friendship with William F. Buckley Jr., and his Brooklyn upbringing as a devoted Dodgers fan. Following the screening, stay for a discussion with the film’s producer, Nico Perrino of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE).
This event is cosponsored with the Chippewa Valley - ACLU
