Steven Pinker is a world-renowned experimental psychologist, conducting groundbreaking research in visual cognition, psycholinguistics, and social relations. Currently the Johnstone Professor of Psychology at Harvard University, Pinker has taught at Stanford and MIT, and earned his BA from McGill University and his PhD from Harvard.

His influential works include The Language Instinct, How the Mind Works, The Blank Slate, The Better Angels of Our Nature, The Sense of Style, and Enlightenment Now. His twelfth book, Rationality: What It Is, Why It Seems Scarce, Why It Matters, was published in 2021 to widespread acclaim.

Pinker’s contributions have earned him numerous awards, including membership in the National Academy of Sciences, two Pulitzer Prize finalist nominations, and recognition as one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People in the World Today” and Foreign Policy’s “World’s Top 100 Public Intellectuals.”
