About Us

Where: CEN1931 (Resource Center, Office of Multicultural Affairs) The Black Student Union is a student organization that was originated in 2024. The organization is a result of the merging of the African Student Association and Black Student Alliance. The Black Student Union aims to support and uplift all Black identities through programs and initiatives that promote unity, leadership, and academic excellence. As the voice of the Black community here on campus, BSU engages in collective advocacy, community building, and results driven action to redefine the Black experience at UWEC. Membership into BSU is OPEN TO ALL UWEC STUDENTS regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, or religion.
