Come spend your (post) Valentine's Day with SACM! We will be learning the basics of 3D mechanical modeling and design using TinkerCAD where you will make your own 3D heart box! This workshop will cover the basics of planning a model, constraints, workplanes, dimensioning, and basic modeling. TinkerCAD is a free online site that provides a great way to learn the basic concepts of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and to create simple models. CAD programs are widely used by engineers and are used to create models to 3D print, the concepts learned in this workshop will can be applied to many other programs. The heart box made in this interactive workshop will be 3D printable (3D printer access not provided). If you bring your own laptop, a mouse is recommended.
